Ecksipoo: Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of my imagination. Here you will find an online portfolio of my finished pieces, development work and articles and imagery that influences me as an illustrator. I'm currently an Illustration student at The University of Huddersfield after doing two years at Hull School of Art and Design. My outlook on the world is full of childlike wonder with a slightly perverse and macabre twist and this is reflected in my work. Satire and parody of popular culture, social observations and music are common themes within my illustrations. My Russian and English culture is a heavy influence on my work both visually and contextually. My visual style involves pattern and linework, drawing heavily from outsider art, psychedelic art nouveau revival and Searle. My previous works have spanned over the genres of album artwork, comic books, posters, and logo design. When I’m not creating artwork, I am usually found stroking my cat, listening to something evil and browsing the taxidermy section of Ebay.
