2013 - Huddersfield -Russian Animal Book Project
Above are the finals I created for my project. The outer leeve, inlay and four finished illustrations as examples of the content of the book.
I found this project challenging but definately the most enjoyable of the year. Although still very much my style, I've definately changed in how I draw to be more child friendly and I would certainly consider attempting another children's book project - especially an educational one like this, as this is the subject area that tends to be ignored by contemporary illustrators.

Caricatures of Myself Based On Photos, Using Illustrator

Mr Wolf and Mr Fox
Started this back out in Summer and I shaded it and finished it yesterday. I love drawing animals but my style lends to being more adult orientated as they nearly always end up looking a little creepy. Here I am practicing making some softer, child-friendly illustrations and I think I've succeeded. It was also fun using purely pencil because I so often reject it in favour of fine liners these days.

Hull - Year 2 - Kolobok Sketchbook and Development Work
We were given a brief to tackle and retell a fairy tale of our choice. I picked the Russian tale Kolobok (similair to our story of The Gingerbread Man). I wanted to create a final piece that were displayed in a diorama so I wanted to think about layers in this project.
